2011 Company MVP Nominations

Brandon Echols – Integrity Roofing
Brandon is out Marketing Manager. But he’s so much more than that…

Along with planning our marketing efforts and setting up for and manning our show booths, Brandon also manages our computer systems, our data, answers phones when needed, helps admin and production whenever asked, and provides an upbeat and fun atmosphere.

When I look at our growth this year I cannot imagine how it could have been done without him.  Nominated by Chris Dunn

Dana Ferrer – Capizzi Home Improvement
The first word that comes to mind as I start to write this nomination letter about Dana is “Remarkable’. Someone described her as impossibly organized and focused. She is that and more.

Dana started with us in June of 2004. Now, 7½ years later, she has mastered and streamlined everything she has been involved in, and that’s a lot! As Office Administrator, she runs the sales department and much more. Dana is responsible for our customer and marketing databases, all of the reporting of data on a multitude of different matrix spreadsheets and all of our companies’ deposits. She also handles all of the customer correspondence and procedures and tracking of finance plans. She assists in a lot of our marketing efforts including creating and proofing ads. Dana creates my PowerPoint presentations which she always goes above and beyond to enhance on her own. Whenever there is a new procedure or challenge we run across [i.e. the new lead paint rules] Dana takes it upon herself to and has the innate ability to create another business operating system to formalize a firewall check and balance process and holds us, including me, to it.

I rely on Dana for a lot of important, sensitive financial and other business related functions that I am involved in within our different businesses. Over the years she has proven herself to be a true professional that I can trust and count on with any confidential business matter. She handles it all with integrity and exacting standards.

I know that I speak for the rest of our staff when I say that if any of us need Dana to do anything for us it will be handled quickly and properly.

This type of behavior and performance is invaluable and is what the term MVP was meant to describe. 2011 MVP?  ABSOLUTELY!  Nominated by Thomas Capizzi, Jr.

Dana is the glue that holds this company together!  She works tirelessly on so many different tasks; we are amazed on how much she gets accomplished in a day.  Any questions you may have, Dana has the answers. She is truly an asset to this company and deserves MVP of the year!  Nominated by Eileen Stanton

Catherine Honigsberg – Maggio Roofing
Catherine was promoted as General Manager of two companies and she was committed and able to fulfill that position without a blink of an eye due to her capacity and dedication.  She accomplished this without really stepping out from Production, Sales, Admin., etc.  She is always willing to help, teach and to make sure that everybody at the office feels comfortable with their jobs and that everything runs smoothly too.  If you ever need her, she is there to run that “extra mile”.  Nominated by Sylvia Liggoria

John Lilja – Twin Cities Siding Professionals
John does whatever is asked of him.  He is our compliance officer, safety officer, researcher, production liaison, warehouse manager, admin support, Kristen’s support, Terry’s support etc. etc.

John always takes on whatever project is given to him and runs with it.  If we call to leave him a message at 10:00 pm or on a Sunday night, he always answers his phone.  Even when he is honoring his position of Chief Petty Officer with the Naval Reserve, he checks his voicemail and returns calls when I have questions.

He is company MVP and, I believe, is deserving of this award.  I hope that he receives the recognition that he so richly deserves.      Nominated by Terry Stamman

Corrin Roach – Opal Enterprises
Corrin never leaves her position, her desk or her responsibilities! Corrin has the needed positive attitude to get through the many challenges we face as a team. Her calm demeanor is truly to be admired. I am not certain of her motivation…but Corrin is ALWAYS concerned about the company’s bottom line and if we can improve in some areas. When contracts come in, Corrin has always questioned if the job was sold correctly or not. It did not matter if she was looking at the contract from an admin or production perspective…she still cared.

Corrin has the most amount of patience…for such a young professional…her patience and cool-head extends well past her years! Corrin works so well with 2 bosses who are worlds apart in ideology (not a bad thing!) but who both have very high expectations! I can honestly tell you that Corrin has contributed a HUGE amount to the success of Opal. She has helped hire new employees and their training! Her diligence in paperwork has helped Opal keep it all together.  Nominated by Tara Opalski
