2011 Most Improved Company Nominations
Integrity Roofing of Alaska, Anchorage AK
At the end of the third quarter last year the company ownership of my company changed. My partner separated from the company and we were looking for a way to move on. The separation was a little messy and the situation was looking dim.
On top of that we were heading into a long, cold winter with significant materials debt. We needed to get on track fast. We attended the Business Planning Bootcamp to try and design a way out of our mess. After a series of company meetings and revisions to job descriptions and processes, we began to see the light.
We made several changes to our product mix and to our staff. By June we were focused and had faith that we could turn this ship around.
Our sales team has hit their goals consistently and field additional work is up. We are on track to exceed our sales goal for 2011!
Along with an increase in sales performance, we have managed to pay off all of our debt and still have significant profit left. We are on target, focused, and kicking ass!
Norton’s Siding and Exteriors, Midvale UT
Norton’s has rebounded very well after the challenging year of 2010. Salt Lake was late in getting into the recession and late in getting out. Ralph and Shawn have hired a new salesperson and the 3 of them have been capitalizing on the Utah market with its ski and recreation resorts.
Rain Gutter Specialties, South Jordan UT
I want to nominate Rain Gutter Specialties as the most improved company of the year.
RGS has been through a rough couple of years but through hard work and with the continued use of CCN business practices, 2011 has been a banner year.
We are now witnessing a dramatically improved market share, higher profit margins and an overall stronger business.
There is no doubt that Rain Gutter Specialties is deserving of Most Improved Company.
