2011 Rookie Production Manager Nominations

Antonio Cerrud – Maggio Roofing
Even though Antonio hasn’t been with the company for such a long time, he has given his best to keep the Production Department flowing and has accomplished it so far. He has also done a great job with the crews, getting to know them and winning their trust and respect. He is also great with customers, which, at times, can be a hard task. He has also been able to interact in a positive way with the estimators bringing those two departments to work together as a team. Nominated by Sylvia Liggoria

Antonio has been with us less than a year. In that short time, he has had to hit the ground running learning the CCN processes, the roofing industry and Maggio Roofing’s processes. He has demonstrated a willingness to learn. He frequently researches information on the internet. He has a very professional and easy going manner with the production crews and the homeowners. It is not easy to step into a Maggio Roofing position. Our current and new customers have very high expectations of service and knowledge associated with their experiences with our company so there is never a time to slack. He has worked hard to become a very valuable member of our team. Nominated by Catherine Honigsberg

Mark Klevgard – Designer Exteriors Inc.
We didn’t have a Production Manager until this year when Mark came aboard which means others were trying to wear the production manager hat as well as their own hat within the company. With Mark as our Production Manager it has eleviated a lot of stress upon others and the company. Mark keeps everyone up to date with the production schedule and stays on top of all the necessary actions needed in setting up a project and keeping it maintained throughout the process of the project. Mark has great relations with our customers and keeps in touch with them every step of the way throughout their project. Mark is an important part of our company maintaining 100% customer satisfaction.

Mark joined the team at Designer exteriors in May of 2011. Mark quickly started his training and was on his way to 100% customer satisfaction in no time. He instantly put together a safety plan and purchased all new safety equipment for the crews. He developed weekly safety and production meetings to ensure all projects were treated equal and done on time and safely. He constantly knocks the ball out of the park when it comes to customer satisfaction. He continually keeps the production costs below the anticipated level on every project. He has also developed a knack for up selling to the customer and has done a fantastic job of adding many AWO’s to our current orders. He has also developed a system to sell to service work and additional projects to many of our past customers. He has also trained the field supervisors and foremen on how to up sell and develop new leads. Mark puts a lot of priceless time into helping production bring 100% satisfied customers to the company. Thanks Mark!!! Nominated by Tobi Johnson

What I like most about Mark is the fact that I can keep on selling and not worry about the production department keeping up. He constantly keeps me and the office up to date with the production schedule so we can maintain our 100% customer satisfaction rate. Nominated by Nathan Glynn

Corrin Roach – Opal Enterprises, Inc.
Corrin was in the middle of a gradual transition from Office Manager to Production Manager, when we suddenly lost our experienced field supervisor. She had to make the full shift over in September, which is our biggest month for sales. It also means it’s the biggest month to measure, schedule, and order materials for October installs. Corrin has really worked hard to pick up the slack and keep our customers happy through a tough transition. If there was an “overcoming adversity” award, she’d win it hands down. Nominated by Harry Waterous

This year Corrin also aided me in so many marketing adventures and actually implemented tactics that I had not imagined. Opal would be at a huge loss without our Corrin! Thank you for your vision! In September of this year….we asked Corrin to join the production team. Her excellence in Admin made her a huge candidate for this position mainly because of her adherence to structure and procedures. Opal needed the right person to come in and fix our mess. And oh boy did she fall into a MESS! We have been treating the customers well and with integrity…but we were lacking in procedures and policies. Corrin has taken it upon herself to dig in and learn the production side of exterior remodeling. She deserved to get way more frustrated than she ever expressed…but she took so much in stride and brought her “I can DO THIS” attitude right along with her.

She did not desert me in Admin either. She remained as my right hand woman while we trained a new receptionist and brought new crews on! Nominated by Tara Opalski

Mike Scordo – BURR Roofing-Siding-Windows
It is my privilege to nominate Mike Scordo as Rookie Production Manager of the Year. He brings an extensive background of experience to Burr, having started his career as a carpenter, managed commercial construction build out, renovated homes & owned a mill shop.

Mike joined Burr in June as our first Field Operations Manager, hitting the deck running! His calm, soothing style, combined with his extensive background, assured his immediate success. Our crews respect him, our customers love him & his Team members appreciate him. As we continue to grow our Hardie business Mike’s background has proven incredibly valuable, assuring the highest quality project, with reduced waste.

Mike has embraced CCN Best Practices, attending the Fall Conference, amazed at the overwhelming abundance of resources. He is committed to implementing many here at Burr. Mike won the CCN AWO Contest – Q III, Category 3, his first full quarter with Burr.

Mike is a most welcome addition to the Burr Team!” Nominated by Bob Priest
