2010 Project Manager of the Year Nominations
Bob Asselin – Capizzi Home Improvements
Not only does Bob portray that of a model project manager by delivering consistent quality of work to the highest standards, keeping a clean safe job site and a professionally kept schedule all of which produce the standards that Capizzi Home Improvement strive for.
But Bob goes above and beyond to deliver a client experience that results in a steady stream of testomonial letters and additional work authorizations. One most recent change order resulted in a project going from 33,000.0 to 92,000.00 and to quote the customer, “”ITS BECAUSE OF THAT MAN OUT THERE (Bob) that you are getting all this additional work.
This and comments just like this are common place to receive regarding Bob and his exemplary job performance. We believe all this and much more that Bob does for Capizzi Home Improvments and our customers are the reasons why he deserves the CCN 2010 project manager of the year.”
Herb Brown – Energy Swing Windows
Herb has left his mark on Energy Swing since joining us three years ago. Not only did Herb’s 20 plus years of technical expertise fill a major hole in our operation, he has contributed so much more. He is a great teacher who willingly shares his experience with our other installation people, which has helped to significantly improve the overall capabilities of our Installation Department.
But even more importantly, have been the ideas and suggestions he makes for improving Energy Swing’s business and our client’s experience. He is a constant contributor to our TQM and Client Review meetings, where he offers win/win ideas to help the client and the company.
Time and time again, Herb proves that he is a real team player and a valuable asset to Energy Swing.
Gustavo Lopez – Istueta Roofing
Gustavo is an incomparable Project Manager because he is a hard worker and takes pride in his work.
His ability to manage a crew and manage different projects at once is a huge asset to our company. He maintains accurate paperwork on all his projects. He travels from job to job and oversees the most important aspects of each job. Gustavo makes sure that his jobsites are always orderly and well organized to avoid accidents. The trucks and equipment are always in superb shape. He has a job sign on every project. He understands the importance of a good company image.
With a positive attitude, he resolves any problem with a smooth solution while expediting job completion and exceeding client expectations. Gustavo is very deserving of this award. He is definitely the definition of a CCN project manager.”
Sione Maakafi – Rain Gutter Specialties
He has been with us for a few years now and he has totally stepped up this year. He has always done great but he has gone above and beyond this year. He has stepped up and worked with several different guys, even though he may not have wanted to he did it for the betterment of the team. He is always a team player and does whatever is asked. He works hard and does what it takes to get the job done. He is an A+ player. His customers love him and always call to praise him. He is the best and we really are blessed to him on our team
Antonio Moscosco – Maggio Roofing
Antonio has quickly become one of the best project managers that work with us. He runs his projects with no oversight and has learned to run the projects utilizing the CCN processes. His crew has installed almost one million dollars worth of work with less than a .5% call back cost. This has actually prompted our admin department to eliminate this item from our chart of accounts. Words cannot say how happy I am to see that!! Antonio comes in on weekends or whenever necessary to handle his projects without management directing him. He consistently wins the CCN change order contest and is usually our top foreman in collections! It is my pleasure to nominate him for project manager of the year.
Tom Murdock – The Roofing Store
Since Tom has come on board as our Project Manager production goes much more smoothly. Scheduling, order processing and the crews run more efficiently. If we have any problems Tom is right there making things right. The crews like it because issues get taken care of right away and the jobs go forward. The customers like Tom too. We get more compliments on Tom’s interactions with them. Overall Tom is an asset to our company, which he confirms on a daily basis as he interacts with employees and customers alike. Tom brings with him a positive attitude and has an infectious smile much to the delight of all who interact with him.
Edgar Ortiz – Maggio Roofing
Edgar started with our company and had very little knowledge of the roofing industry. Within a short amount of time, he has learned not only how to perform the work needed, but how to run a crew per CCN processes. This has been accomplished all while he has learned a second language (English). Edgar has not only learned English, but he is not afraid to communicate with the homeowner and sell change orders. His call backs are virtually non-existent and he always strives to do better.
Thad Roper – Integrity Roofing
Thad is a highly experienced craftsman who commands respect. He has developed what may be the best roofing crew in the world. The quality of their work exceeds customers expectations and they are highly efficient.
Thad has proven to be open to new ideas that will help Integrity become a better company. He comes back to the sales team with suggestions and ideas almost weekly. He began selling Additional Work in the field this summer and is getting quite good at it.
This year was tough on him and his crew with some personal trials that stretched into relationships in the company. It was a challenge to overcome and he did it! there were a few jobs that fell short during the drama, but he was quick to help motivate our team and get us back on track. That’s why I’m nominating him for Project manager of the Year. He does everything in his power to keep us on track and make us the best company we can be. Thank you Thad!
Carlos Rosado – Maggio Roofing
Carlos Rosado should be considered for the Project Manager of the Year award. Carlos has been with Maggio for over seven years now. He is consistently requested to be the foreman for both our repeat and new (referred) customers. Carlos is an example of how every company wishes their foremen would be. Carlos engages our customer through every aspect of their project from start to finish. He sells change orders when necessary and a majority of the time he also collects the payment on site, so that our office does not have to follow up to collect the money. Carlos abides by all company policies and he truly understands that Safety is First. Carlos is an exemplary employee and friend at our company. He is always willing to come into work, even when the weather conditions are so bad that most roofers would simply stay home and take the day off.
Casey Salazar – Dial One
Casey is a true craftsman and continues to fulfill our customers’ dreams with his quality workmanship. He is fed a steady diet of complex and difficult jobs and/or demanding customers and consistently completes his jobs on time, within budget and with outstanding customer satisfaction scores. This year he has trained a new partner and is grooming another future project manager. One of our customers nicknamed Casey “Michelangelo” after observing his attention to detail and unwavering precision. Many of our customers buy additional projects and inevitably ask for Casey to install their job.
