2010 Rookie Salesperson Nominations
Mike Bardsley – Rain Gutter Specialties
Mike joined us at the end of last year as one of our former distributor reps. We have known Mike for years and we are glad we stole him. He has taken his role and run with it. He ate up sales boot camp and came back and was on fire. He does what he is asked and more. His closing ratio has increased steadily. He does whatever it takes to keep his customers happy. (he has the most happy customers). I always get phone calls about how much they love Mike and how great he was for them. Mike has brought a great perspective and has helped the entire company improve. He is diligent in his paper work and always turns in things on time. Mike deserves the rookie salesman of the year.
Josh Barker – Clark Adams Co.
Josh started selling for us in mid-January and really hit the ground running. His previous sales experience in the kitchen remodeling business gave him a head start and he’s never looked back! Josh’s average monthly sales since he started with us is over $125,000, the highest average in our company’s history over a 10 month period. In fact, Josh is on pace to sell close to $1,500,000 this year, more than anyone in Clark Adams Co.’s 30 year history. In addition to top level performance, Josh is a real team player. He runs out each lead and doesn’t complain when things get difficult. Josh is always very professional, on time, and maintains a high level of integrity when dealing with customers and company administrative staff. He is truly a welcome addition to the Clark Adams Co. team.
Audrey Dunn – Integrity Roofing
Audrey worked at Integrity three years ago in our Admin staff. She went on to pursue her goals by beginning a sales career. This year she returned to us to become part of our sales team.
Audrey came energized and open minded to the CCN process. She trained hard to learn about our products and how to develop the best solution for each customer. She attended CCN Sales Boot Camp and came back ready to win.
She has done just that with an average closing ratio of over 65% last quarter. She has exceeded every expectation we had and has set new standards for acceptable closing ratios and job sizes.
In addition to closing jobs, Audrey’s positive traits consist of being extremely organized, passionate, and most of all, she is highly concerned about caring for her customer. She consistently gets letters from clients after the sales meeting, thanking her for being so helpful.
Audrey has been a big piece of Integrity’s growth and stability this year and we can all learn a few things from her.
Mike Frey – Crown Roofing and Drainage
He has only been with us a few months but he has taken well to instruction and has already sold a number of jobs.
New to the company, works hard to fit in, works hard to be a team member, willing to do anything to make life easier for everyone else, never says no, very accommodating, polite and professional, very knowledgeable, eager, over-all very well rounded super guy!
Roland Leary – Capizzi Home Improvement
Even though Roland Leary is the “new kid on the block”, he is a professional in every way! He definitely represents Capizzi Home Improvement as being a first class company. When he joined the team this year, he hit the ground running and has not stopped. With a background in sales and home improvement/remodeling, he not only knows what he is talking about, but looks, acts and dresses the part.
If you are a frequent reader of the CCN Wizard Watch, you will have seen his name mentioned just about every week since he started working here. He is well liked by our staff and all the customers and he keeps the Front Desk informed, which is a feat in itself. I definitely think that Rolly Leary should win the award for Rookie Salesperson of the Year 2010!
Rolly Leary
Rolly started just 5 months ago and hit the ground running and hasn’t looked back. His enthusiasm, energy and genuine approach to people in his new profession have resulted in very positive feedback from his customers and the Capizzi staff. In his first 5 months he has sold 370,000.00 with a 30% close rate in remodel leads and a 31% close rate in home improvement leads presented year to date.
Rolly attended CCN sales boot camp in August and came back fired up and has been applying more of his new found knowledge for the sales profession.
It is a pleasure to work with Rolly and we look forward to seeing him progress with our company.
The above statistics on his high rate of initial success and overall professional posture are the reasons we feel he is deserving of the 2010 CCN rookie sales person of the year.
Tommy Shallcross – Opal Enterprises
Tom has been with Opal Enterprises for a mere 6 months! Tom first knocked our socks OFF with his very high test results with the CCN sales swat analysis. He was comfortably employed with a major corporation and took his time to research Opal!
Since joining on, he worked tirelessly to learn the industry in a super hurry. His learning skills were not surface either…he invested the time needed to really understand the company, our goals, the products and the installed services we offer to our valuable homeowners. He ALREADY had the selling tactics needed and he applied them well to Opal.
In just a few months, Tom proved to be a top-notch seller and addition to Opal’s sales team. Not ONCE have we had to ask Tom twice to implement company policy. He abides by the company structure and has so much respect for the owner…that a seamless partnership has formed!
Tom will take the role as our head salesman and sales manager…that is how impressive Tom Shallcross is!!
Shane Wool, Lakeside Exteriors, Inc.
Lakeside Exteriors would like to proudly nominate Shane Wool for Rookie Salesperson of the year. Shane started the year with absolutely no home improvement industry knowledge. During the year, her knowledge has increased immensely and she now fully understands how a construction project is built. We are proud of her as well as her closing percentage and profitability of her jobs. Shane does a great job of juggling her family life with her business life. And to add to an impressive year, Shane was also married in the month of August and still sold $139,000.
