2010 Rookie Office Manager of the Year Nominations
Cindy Cordosi – Clark Adams Co
Cindy Cordosi was hired as a bookkeeper and came to our company when the economy was not cooperating. When she started she was thrown into a situation that required her dealing with low sales levels, cranky vendors, persnickety customers, and a widespread lack of positive attitude that permeated the workplace. Her upbeat attitude, smile and great sense of humor has brought a lot of positive influence to the office. Attitude aside, she has been instrumental in completely overhauling our accounting systems. Cindy has also become very involved in maintaining vigilance over slow paying customers, and has proved instrumental in marketing, human resources, and payroll. She has taken on a lot of tasks formerly done by the owner, to his great relief. Cindy single handedly completely revised our out of date company employee handbook with the help of an outside HR firm! Everyday, she is a whirling dervish of energy looking for the next assignment that needs to be accomplished! Clark Adams Co. would not be the same without Cindy Cordosi as our Office Manager/Bookkeeper!
Jason Gordon – Roofmax
While Jason was working for Roofmax, he was also going to night school and this year he graduated with a degree in Business Finance from Cal State Hayward. Roofmax was blessed with a wonderful opportunity and Jason was promoted to Office Manager. Wow!
Hands down Jason is the best candidate for Rookie Office Manager of the Year. He has been in this position for only a few months, but in this short time he has transformed the Production and Financial processes and reports. Now both Production and Finance get the information they need and everything runs very smooth. Jason also set up our new CRM and accounting system procedures for uniform input and useable reports.
He is very quick in his computer skills and can develop proposals and presentations to support any special need of our sales staff. He is also serving as our Solar Knowledge Center and has developed our solar proposals.
Jason never has an unkind word for anyone and customers rave about how well he communicates the details of the schedule with them, thus setting forth a very positive image of Roofmax in the community. His leadership ability is being utilized to run a great office and he is an integral part of our operation. Please vote for Jason as rookie office manager of the year!
Karly Larsen – Rain Gutter Specialties
Karly joined us at the end of last year at a turbulent time. We were unorganized and were not following the systems we had in place. We were super busy and were a mess. Karly jumped in with both feet and went to work. She has done everything that is asked of her and more. She has implemented our systems, as well as, added several new ones. She goes above and beyond and has whipped us all in shape. She has made our office a well oiled machine. She is constantly fixing and tweaking things to make us better. We are so grateful to have her and she is the foundation to our company.
Theda Quinn – Timmer Roofing
