Nominations:

Pearson Allen - Norton's Quality Exteriors

Nominated by Sylvia Fenton

Pearson has worked for Norton's a long time.  He has recently been promoted to Project Manager on the window crew.  He is an outstanding employee.  His greatest asset is his willingness to do absolutely anything that is asked of him.  He will even volunteer to work weendends when the job needs to get done.  He is personable - the customers love him and his great attitude.

Wes Kjar - Rain Gutter Specialties

Nominated by Ross Fisher

Wes worked for Rain Gutter Specialties as a helper for a couple of seasons before serving a 2 year church mission to Argentina.  After returning from Argentina and a coupld of semesters of college, Wes came back to work for us and we are extremely lucky to have him.  Wes is the kind of project foreman a production manager loves to have.  Wes is someone you can always count on to "Get-R-Done".  Wes is constantly working late into the night with his head light on making sure he finishes the job.  Even though Wes is hungry to make as much money as he can, he is always a team player and is willing to do his part to make the company successful.  If there is any fault in Wes, it is that he may care too much.  Whenever something goes wrong with his job, he feels like he has somehow failed.  At the rate Wes is going, he may actually becomne the perfect project foreman he expects himself to be.

Nominated by Tim Brown, Jr.

Wes has been a helper on and off for about two years. This year we had a spot open up and wes jumped on for the opportunity. He lived 2 hours away but moved to town so that he could start a carrer with our team. He is an extremly hard worker (until 8:00 P.M. nearly everyday). He does whatever it takes to improve. He always participates in TQM. He does whatever is asked and will do the hardest jobs with no complaints. At the fall conference he was stoked about all that he learned and is contantly trying to help the company improve.

Justin Lynaugh - Jancewicz & Sons

Nominated by John Dunbar

Justin came to Jancewicz & Son after several years of running his own roofing company in northern Vermont.  He was often working 80 – 100 hours per week and had little time to enjoy any successes along the way.  After interviewing at Jancewicz & Son he moved his family about 1.5 hours south to be closer to our facility and began leading a shingle crew for Jancewicz & Son.

Justin has proven himself to be a conscientious and thorough project manager.  His number one goal is safety, closely followed by quality.  He does not allow ego to get in the way of doing what is right, and will never let the quality of his workmanship suffer at the expense of trying to meet a budget.  He offers helpful information in establishing fair and effective installation budgets.  He participates in TQM meetings with win-win as his highest priority, rarely if ever putting his own needs or wants before the company or his fellow crew members.  Justin has proven himself to be a leader among his peers, letting his actions speak for themselves and expressing his opinions in an organized and professional manner even when his opinions go against those of his peers.  Joining a new company and moving your family to a new part of the state is a big undertaking in itself.  Becoming a leader and a role model in an established company within the first year is almost unheard of and I commend him.

Luis Manzo - DIAL ONE

Nominated by Charlie Gindele

Luis has moved into the position of Project Manager in the past year. Since then, he has demonstrated the ability to take on increasingly difficult jobs and complete them with excellent quality workmanship. Luis also achieves high customer service ratings on a consistent basis.
