I have never nominated my own company before, but feel as though this year is the year that I should because it has been one of the toughest years I can remember in our 24 years of business. Due to the downturn in the Southern California economy, falling housing prices, the mortgage industry going into the tank and greatly diminished consumer confidence, we have had to work harder and smarter than ever before. My employees have done a great job in 2007 doing more with less! Virtually every employee that was here a year ago is doing more work that they were a year ago! People have stepped up in all areas taking on greater responsibilities as we have had to take difficult steps to reduce overhead to get it in line with our reduced revenue numbers. We probably have the most talented, most dedicated and loyal group of employees we have ever had. They have pulled together to work as a team. They have dealt with the sudden and tragic death of a key employee's wife and most recently the sudden and tragic death of one of our young project managers.

Our percentages for repeat and referral business are at all time highs and we consistently rank in the top echelon of Renewal by Andersen affiliates across the country for homeowner satisfaction, month after month. 2007 has also seen us tackle some of the most complex and difficult jobs we have ever undertaken and they have been completed beautifully and created raving fans for customers in the process. I am extremely proud of the accomplishments of my felllow team members in 2007!

Istueta Roofing

It is not difficult to become a contractor and place roofs on houses; but it takes a lot to become a neighborhood friend that for over 20 years has been known to provide top of the line service and roofing products to South Florida. Istueta Roofing, Corp. was initiated in 1985 by Frank Istueta. The goal was to provide 100% customer satisfaction, and until today that goal is what has made his vision a reality. The ability to change has also helped the company keep with the times ensuring its evolution along with the constantly changing market. Istueta Roofing has made many smart moves, but one in particular is to keep informed. Education provided by Certified Contractors Network has been paramount and a key element in the company’s success.

And finally, what would the company be without such a wonderful staff. The team that is composed of knowledgeable and experienced individuals who treat customers with dignity and respect, and maintain a friendly atmosphere where it feels good to be present have led the company to unprecedented success. For the last three years in a row, Istueta Roofing has made the list of America’s Top 500 contractors, the last year it made it to the top 150 with nearly $7,000,000.00 in sales. Now that is success that comes with hard work, determination, integrity, and a staff that shares the company values and it is willing to contribute to its success. Istueta Roofing has been making South Florida’s aerial view more beautiful for over two decades, and it will continue to do so for many years to come.
