Is your boss the best there is?  Tell us why when you nominate him or her for this category.

Nominations

Amy Bergeron - Whitehouse Residential and Commercial Painting Company

Nominated by Ann Dreisbach, Peggy Miller, Susan Lepping and Chris Miller

We would like to nominate Amy Bergeron for Best Boss.  Amy is one of very few women who own and operate her own painting company.  In December 2004, Amy hired an office manager and in January 2005, she added a sales/estimator.  This year, Amy made the decision to hire a production manager to her team.  Along with utilizing the CCN sales tactics, these additions have helped her business grow 100%.  Amy exhibits professionalism, rational work ethics and has a remarkable business sense.  She also has what it takes to develop wonderful customer relationships, resulting in a great deal of repeat business.  Amy is compassionate, very understanding and is always willing to meet her employee's needs.  She still manages to "do it all" even after having her first child in September 2006, training and participating in a 100 mile bike ride for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, being a member of the alumnae board at Sacred Heart Academy and participating in alumnae events at Centre College, her alma maters.  Amy has worked extremely hard to make Whitehouse Residential and Commercial Painting Company what it is today.  She has always gone "the extra mile" and credits her employees for the success of her company.

Tim Brown Sr. - Rain Gutter Specialties

Nominated by Ross Fisher

If you were to walk into the office of Rain Gutter Specialties on any given morning, you would probably not be able to tell who the owner of the company was.  Tim does not care who gets the glory in our company's success.  He doesn't even care if he makes the most money.  It doesn't matter what kind of day you are having, Tim is always there to put a smile on your face.  The guys love to work with Tim and they know they can come to him with any problems they may have.  Tim listens to anyone who has an idea to improve the company no matter what their status is in the company.  It is a pleasure to work for Tim Brown, Sr. and he deserves boss of the year.

Mike Driscoll - The Roofing Store

Mike is always concerned about the welfare of his employees.  He is fair, patient, helpful (brings us chocolate), and always willing to listen.  He encourages our input of ideas that will benefit the company and to make our jobs easier, as well as more productive.  Mike is always ready to start your day with a smile & laugh.
