Company MVP PDF Print E-mail

Nominate the person in your company who contributes most to the success of the business and tell us why.

Nominations:

Tiffany Alphen - Dolphin Painting

Nominated by Chris Alphen

Tiffany wants this company of ours to grow. She is very good with customers and with the production team. Tiffany is turning out to be a Great Leader.

John Dunbar - Jancewicz & Son

Nominated by Jeff Dunbar

Jancewicz & Son simply would not be headed in the positive direction it is going without this individual.  He has been a $1.5 million producing salesperson in each of the last two years and has lead the sales department in volume for three consecutive years. In 2007, John Dunbar initiated new efforts and programs that has helped Jancewicz & Son be a great company. With company growth and the need for greater sales management, John added sales management to his responsibilities.  As manager he facilitates weekly sales meetings and reports current Sales Department data to the company's Development Team.  John has begun to overhaul the company estimating program and continues to work towards ensuring that the Sales and Production Departments communicate clear and accurate information.  In 2007 John has been instrumental in Jancewicz & Son successfully introducing monthly Total Quality Management meetings and also initiated monthly all company meetings where topics critical to our team's success are presented.  Also in 2007, John continued to assist CCN as a Sales Book Camp Trainer. It is without question, that without his energy, intelligence, and fine example Jancewicz & Son's success would not be possible.

Ross Fisher - Rain Gutter Specialties

Nominated by Tim Brown Jr.

Ross is my Dad and my right hand man. His title is production manager but that is only half of his job. He does whatever it takes to make sure the company runs the way it should. He has the right mind set and keeps me out of my comfort zone. He is a major part of the growth of our company, and makes sure that we are following the CCN ways of doing business. He has allowed my Dad and I to work on the company not in the company, so that we can grow to our full potential. Ross works hard and will do whatever it takes. He deserves this award as well as many others.

Nominated by Jeremy Estrada
Ross is highly valued within his organization!  Ross is a key player within his company & cares about where the company is going!  Ross is constantly striving for better systems & standards.  Ross can always be counted on to complete a job & to a high standard.  If every organization had a Ross, these companies would be at the top of their game!  Ross is an effective leader & respected in his organization.

Catherine Honigsberg - Maggio Roofing

Nominated by Scott Siegal

I have nominated Catherine Honigsberg for this award for the past three years.  I really hope that she wins this year!  Catherine started with our company over six years ago as the office manager.  She then proceeded to win the CCN office manager of the year two times.  Last year, after training her replacement, Catherine then decided it was time for her to run the production department.  She won the CCN rookie production manager of the year award last year.  This year she deserves to win the production manager of the year award.  More importantly, she is really the most valuable person to me and our company.  She has her hand in almost every aspect of the business.  She takes the time to organize and conduct each monthly meeting, every TQM meeting (every other week), and helps organize all other functions for the company.  She researches marketing trends, new products, and offers advice to almost everyone in the company.  She has been my sounding board for the last few years and is my “go to” person when I need something done.  I know that I can always depend on her to get the job done.  I hope that you will finally reward her with this award.

Maggie Kelly - Capizzi Home Improvements

Nominated by Tom Capizzi, Jr.

I want to nominate and recognize Maggie Kelley, our Office Manager, for a the CCN MVP Award. Maggie is a “go-to” person in our company.  In 2007, our company went through some turnover and turbulence in the administrative department. Maggie was always there and involved through thick and thin.  She constantly provided back up for covering other duties that were needed and she trained the staff as she went along.

During all this, our company was struck by lightning and half of our computers and all of our phones were destroyed and again, it was Maggie who picked up the pieces and got the job done and got our company back on track.

Maggie sees right through the problems and challenges and goes straight to the solution and does what it takes to keep it all together, including being available to the staff even while away from the office.

Every company needs a “go-to” person like Maggie.

Nominated by Lisa Haworth

I nominate Maggie for this for so many reasons, Maggie is one in a million a very amazing woman in so many ways, She is such a hard worker and never complains about her Job, She has taken on many responsibilities above the ones she already had, And does it with a smile. She never shows signs of stress, or being overwhelmed. She is a great asset to Capizzi home Improvement and a pleasure to work with.

Miguel Moreno - Mr. Roofing, Inc.

Nominated by Carlos Rodriguez

Miguel is who everyone turns to for an answer. When our new salesmen have a question they ask Miguel. When a customer has a concern they ask Miguel. Miguel is a champion in the roofing industry. He has ensured yet another record breaking production year for Mr. Roofing, Inc. and he goes beyond his job description. He is the first one in the shop, he comes in on weekends and will even wash trucks. He sells change orders, he trains and mentors our production staff. He has never missed a day of work, he follows through on what he promises, and is critical to the success of Mr. Roofing, Inc. Miguel is involved in a local community service group that fosters community, integrity, and provides scholarships for college. Overall Miguel Moreno is the ultimate representation of Mr. Roofing, Inc. and the Roofing Industry as a whole socially, professionally, and ethically.

Pat Quarve - Quarve Contracting

Nominated by Quarve Contracting

In the last 18 months is has become a leader instead of the Buffalo. He realized he must work on himself before anything else. It is hard to grow a team or business if one is not able to see the need to improve in one's self. He has been a constant sponge reading and listening to anything worth merit and then changing his ways to form new habits.

In just the past year he has become a real leader with a vision and great passion which broke our glass ceiling which was really a mental ceiling on our part.  HIs vision and passion is long-life durable products that cut carbons while having raving fans as customers.

We quit with the talk and started taking action. We use the CCN processes without fixing them while learning from other successful contractors within the network and our MN NARI network. With his vision we have become a company that is highly reccommended among the leading Design/Build remodelers in the twin cities. We were also invited to take part in a Green Pilot Program for the state of Minnesota. Last week he was recommended for the board of directors for the MN NARI Green Council.

We have surpassed our goals for the year and are planning more leadership training for the rest of the team. Pat Quarve is the most valuable player on our team and his passion has changed the culture and accountability for the entire team, which I might add is happier as well.

Marisel Urizarri - Istueta Roofing

There are so many things that can be said about Mari, all of them great. Although she is in charge of accounting and human resources, Mari is one of those people that make a company complete simply because she can be of help in any department at any given time. Her door is always open to answer any questions and she is always willing to find a positive solution to any problem that arises.

Mari is one of those people that can get along with anyone because of her open and friendly personality, her bright smile lights up any conversation and her skills at what she does make everyone else’s job easier. Mari is also a constant learner and values the importance of education. She recently obtained her Bachelor’s degree in accounting and we will support her as she strives for her Masters. It is important for the company to have Mari, it would not be the same without her. She is upbeat, on time, goes the extra mile, educated, qualified, tactful, innovative, and a pleasure to be around. For that and many more reasons is why is that she deserves to be most valuable team player!
